Since the redesign, we have done some internal work on the site, and now we are moving on to things that are more visual and understandable. The comment form has now been updated.
The new comments are better because:
• You can immediately see what it will look like. The Preview button is not needed!
• Pictures and links are pulled up immediately after the link is inserted, using “attachments”. They are more convenient to click on and there is no problem with pictures that capture comments.
• Gifs are attached!
Some people may like the new comments less because:
• Removed bold, italics, etc. Fall for the trend, which is simpler → better.
If you find any bugs or have ideas on how to make comments more cool, write in the comments!

p.s. Quote and spoiler broken. Now the text highlighted in a comment does not automatically become a quote when you press the button\/is not removed under the spoiler. Not convenient.

The line spacing after pressing Enter/between paragraphs in the edit is larger (and nicer) than in the final view, where everything merges into a wall of text.

Honestly, I don’t understand why they removed the formatting. Yes, the need arises rarely, but it still arises. In the previous sentence, I would like to emphasize the second “arises”, but I simply don’t have the tool for this.
Damn, even in the comments to some debriefings, it was much easier for people to highlight the names of the proposed games in bold.
People here often write sheets that can sometimes pass for an article, and you deprive them of normal formatting >_
Okay, I want to make it easier for most users. It’s understandable, so be it. But you can do some advanced editing for those who are not too lazy? for those who really need it? You can’t put a spoiler into a spoiler that was already in a spoiler!
Previously, it was possible to copy the comment along with the pictures, but now it turns out that you will have to re-upload the pictures each time?
According to bugs (it’s cool that this line stands out against the background of the rest of the text?))):
— Quotes and spoilers are one-line when typing. Multi-line text is supported when copying/pasting.
— When trying to move (even in a multi-line spoiler or quote), the cursor flies outside the spoiler or quote.
— If you place the cursor in the text before a multi-line spoiler or quote and try to delete them using Delete, then the lines will jump out from under the spoiler or quote one by one. The gif shows it clearly.
— Type a multi-line comment text. You copy. You put it back. All spaces between paragraphs turn into blank lines.
— When deleting one empty line using Delete, the first character of the next line is deleted.
PS. When you click on the tag “what’s new on the site?» sends to 404 page. Is this a bug or a feature??)
A striking example of why images should be allowed to be placed in a spoiler:
Perhaps this has already been written about, but IMHO the comments really lack a visual structure of who is responding to whom. Like, for example, this was done on pikabu. Otherwise, when the thread with answers grows and indents are no longer taken into account, it is not clear who is answering whom.
So you’re sitting on the site and for almost a month you don’t experience the illusory “pain in my ass hole” when commenting, but you think “probably these are temporary problems, well, the comments will be fixed soon”… And then in one of the news you come across a link that fully explains that
1. it’s not a bug, it’s a feature
2. the pain will continue.
I don’t know what kind of score I’ll be, but
a) why do we ALWAYS need an empty line at the end of a comment?. If I need to start a new sentence from a new paragraph, every keyboard in the world has an Enter button. Some keyboards have two of them.
b) when you move from the SG tab to any other (even another SG tab), upon returning you can find that the page has rolled up several scrolls.
IMHO you need the ability to close a comment thread, but 50 comments are too lazy to scroll through
Typed comment is not sent after clicking "publish". Text from the buffer is not pasted into the comment field. Chrome Android 10 Honor 9X.
On PC everything is fine.
Bring back the ability to strikethrough text. This is one of the good ways to express sarcasm, joke and just make a comment more interesting.
Or they could change nothing at all or change only the styles of the elements. Especially if the issue of price was acute (one gets the impression).
Text formatting didn’t take up much space, there were three buttons in total, but the message lost so much character… RETURN!
Trying to put an image in a spoiler causes some pretty interesting side effects. I made a spoiler, inserted an image, wrote text after the spoiler, moved the image to the spoiler, inserted it visually, published the post. And what do you think? The text after the spoiler was leaked into the spoiler, the image was inserted at the end of the post.
The problem is not boring, but the fact that without formatting it is impossible to write a medium-large comment properly.
Who came up with this font size in the comments? It’s impossible to see what you’re writing. And in the absence of a “preview” button, it is impossible to know what it will look like. It is impossible to insert a picture under the spoiler. It is impossible to insert a video from a computer. It is impossible to format the test. What kind of idiot edits comments??
